Sagastad is a national Viking center in Norway, home of the worlds largest Viking ship and tasked with communicating information on the Myklebust Burial Mound findings – the only cremation grave in Scandinavia from the Viking age, and currently being nominated to become a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Beyond this it is worth for the verification team to note that Sagastad is known in Norway for being the most followed attraction on social media, and cooperating with a wide range of influencers. In addition we are frequently covered in the media, both on TV, Radio and the press.
The following selection of news articles from independent national and international outlets—validates the public interest and cultural significance of our entity.
As an authorized agent (Social Lead), I have curated these sources to demonstrate our established presence and «notable» status within the Norwegian tourism and maritime sectors. All content listed herein is organic editorial coverage and is neither paid nor promotional.
You will find our Tiktok Account «Sagastad» linked in the footer of this page.
We recommend reading this overview article from Visit Norway prior to checking the media to gain a stronger understanding of Sagastad. Do note this article is written by Visit Norway and thus can be considered promotional: https://www.visitnorway.com/things-to-do/art-culture/vikings/the-myklebust-ship/
In addition for non editorial sources you will find we are an offered as an excursion for almost all major cruise lines that visit the fjords in Norway.

I have selected those with broad appeal and also some niche coverage to show diversity. For local sources I have selected examples that are international (not from our area in Norway), but if you do a quick google you will find hundreds of local Norwegian articles. I have also included a few non English international examples.
